MILAN – The designer Loro Piana who is know for her special work on Cashmere wool has created a fabric which she got inspired by a black and white photographs, which is been made into suits, that will be sold for $4,367 each. It is the first time the design house has worked with an artist. The Chief Executive Officer Pierluigi Loro Piana said Ross photographs “deeply fascinated me ... they were things that were close to me, to our world.” The fabric has used nearly 80 kilometers of thread in three interwoven strands; two of wool and one of silk, to produce a man s suit. The first versions will be available in 2009.
