Dressing properly at the time of interview increase your confident as well make good impression with your skills on the people taking interview. Therefore it is advisable to have perfect interview attire in your wardrobe.

Usually navy blue suit and charcoal gray suit are commonly worn for the interview in the field such as banking, finance and government etc. Black double breasted suit is choice of fashion conscious people while olive suit double breast is more casual.

Candidates who ignore the importance of dressing to impress cannot be serious about the job in the minds of most interviewers. Interviewers expect interviewees to look a certain way.

Basic Tips:

• Navy Blue Suit or Charcoal Gray Suit is preferable for entry or mid-level positions.  
• Black Double Breasted suit is best option. Double breasted is always proper and elegant.
• The type of suit, Double breasted suit for your comfort and style. With the mix and match trousers, you can be sure of a suit that will fit to your personality.
• Suit jacket should be two buttons or three button, four and five buttons suits are also popular.
• 3-button suits will look best on a taller, slimmer man.
• 2-Button suits will have a slimming effect on a shorter, stockier man.
• In suits solid colored suits are best. Subtle stripes are fine. Avoid flashy patterns.
• For selecting fabric, solid suit is better option than pattern suit or subtle pinstripe can also opt.
• Strong stripes convey authority and are appropriate for higher level positions.
• Shirt color should be Oxford blue or white color. Shades of light to mid blue are also effective. If you choose another color, pastels are safest.
• Cotton shirt  with a spread or point collar, or even a traditional button-down style.
• A spread collar can accommodate a larger tie knot.
• Hidden-button and tab collar shirts are generally too informal for the interview.
• Tie should be darker than shirt color with some print. Tie should coordinate with your suit.
• Bow tie is unwise to wear as well as tie depicting some character or sports are also not advisable.
• Belt should match with shoes color, means black belt with black shoes.
• You may also opt for braces, but never suspenders. The difference is that braces button is into your suit slacks, while suspenders clip onto the outside.
• A black shoe is good match, although burgundy shoes can be worn. Brown shoes are still a bit too fashion-forward for an interview.
• A leather shoe is good for interview.
• Finally for job interview, you should have light jewelry but not overloaded.
• You can wear the same suit for subsequent interviews if you change the tie.

After you get the job, dress for the position several levels higher.  If you want a promotion you must look like you deserve it and can fit into the post.
